Privacy policy

This policy explains how 3810 PRODUCTION ("we") handles information on Akiba-K.net ("the site") and the Akiba-K.net app. The Japanese version is authoritative.

Information we collect

You do not need an account to use the site, and we never ask for your name or email address. To run the service, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records access logs such as time of access, IP address and browser type. Optional sign-in and price watches are described below.

Sign-in (accounts)

Signing in is optional, with Apple, Google or LINE. One account is shared by Akiba-K.net, 萌え.com and the Akiba-K.net app, and you can connect more than one sign-in method to it. Signing in lets you sync your oshi, notification settings and price watches between your browser and the app.

  • We store only the provider and the user identifier it issues (plus, for Apple, an encrypted token used to revoke the link when you delete your account). We never request or store your email address, name or profile picture. For LINE we request only the openid scope and immediately revoke the access token we receive.
  • Synced data: your oshi (followed agencies, talents, voice actors and circles, works and other genres) and their levels, colors, notification hours and related settings, and your price watches, with modification times.
  • Session cookie __Host-akk_s (stored on our side only as a hash). Rate-limit records keyed by a one-way hash of the IP address, kept up to 2 days.
  • Without signing in, your oshi, settings and price watches stay in your browser (localStorage) or in the app. Price watches created in the app are stored on our server with the app's device so they can be checked once a day.
  • Which announcements you have read is stored only in your browser (localStorage).
  • You can delete your account at any time from the Account page or in the app. Deleting it removes all of the above, including the account's price watches, and asks Apple to revoke the link. Oshi saved on each device stay on that device.
  • We do not share this data with third parties except as required by law. Sign-in is processed by Apple, Google and LY Corporation (LINE); app notifications are sent through Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google). Data is stored with Cloudflare, and these providers may store data outside Japan (e.g. in the United States).

LINE official account (Hoshimori Rinka)

  • When you add the account or send a message, we receive your LINE user ID to reply. We do not obtain your LINE display name or profile picture.
  • Questions to the auto-reply assistant "Koboshi" are used only to create the answer (with Cloudflare Workers AI) and are not stored. To limit questions per day, we keep a one-way hash of your user ID and a count for that day only.
  • For inquiries we store the subject, your name, phone number (optional), email address, message and LINE user ID, use them only to respond, notify the operator's admin LINE account, and delete them after 90 days (unfinished ones after 1 day).

Affiliate programs

We may use affiliate programs such as A8.net, Rakuten Affiliate and Amazon Associates. Third parties, including Amazon, may use cookies to measure referrals. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.

Analytics

We use the following analytics tools to understand how the site is used and to improve it:

  • Umami, which we run on our own server. It does not use cookies and records pages viewed, referrers, browser and OS type, screen size and approximate country/region, without identifying individuals.
  • Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation), which collects interactions such as clicks and scrolling, pages viewed and device/browser information using cookies and similar technologies, and sends them to Microsoft. This data is handled under the Microsoft Privacy Statement (https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement).
  • Google Analytics (Google LLC), which collects pages viewed, referrers, interactions on the page (such as scrolling and clicks on links to other sites), device/browser information and approximate region using cookies and similar technologies, and sends them to Google. We do not use Google signals or ads personalization. This data is handled under the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
