- Akiba-keiアキバ系
- A term that spread in the 2000s for the culture — and the people — gathering in Akihabara around anime, games and computers. It covers both the tech-loving side of the electric town and anime/game fandom.
- Denki-gai (Electric Town)電気街
- Akihabara's cluster of electronics, computer and parts shops, which grew out of post-war street stalls selling radio parts. Many used smartphone and PC parts shops are still here.
- Collab caféコラボカフェ
- A café that teams up with an anime or game for a limited time, serving themed menus and exclusive merch. Many require reservations or a lottery.
- Jigo tsūhan (post-event mail order)事後通販
- Online orders for merch that was originally venue-only, opened after an event or collab café ends. The order window is often short, and many shops ship only within Japan.
- Pop-up storeポップアップストア
- A limited-time shop, often used for early sales of new merch for a particular anime or game.
- Condition grade (chūko rank)中古ランク
- Each shop's grade for used items. Generally A is the best condition; B and C show more wear and cost less. The criteria differ from shop to shop.
- Network restriction (▲ / ×)ネットワーク利用制限
- A status Japanese carriers set per device. "▲" means the device may be blocked later (for example, because instalments are unpaid). We exclude these units from our price data.
